A Thousand Lives: from behind a reader's lens

A thousand lives—a single life, from a reader's lens.

Some say I have three lives

Some say I have seven

Others believe it’s ten

But, dare I say, in this one life

I’ve already lived a thousand

I endured my lover’s death as Hazel,

Became Travis “Mad-Dog” Maddox’s girl

With Theo, I solved legal mysteries,

Felt that bone-deep fear around Verity

I experienced life and murders of 2058 as Eve,

And got to be a High Fae through Feyre

I’ve lived so many lives so soon

I’m sure it’ll be many, many more

So long as I have my books by me

I’m not Hazel, nor am I Feyre

I’m still me. But I got to be them too

It’s a mystery, a pretty fancy

How I’ve experienced such beauty

In one life, in so little time

But I know

I’d never trade any of these lives,

Not even for more years in mine.
